Re-Beginnings

Share |

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes at Abandoned Towers, and while it may have looked as though we abandoned you (ha…see what I did there?), rest assured that we haven’t.  Here are some of the exciting things that have been happening:

  1. Relaunch: This will be happening in the next month or so…early to mid January.  We’ve been in sort of a “soft launch” time frame where we were accepting submissions in order to build up a buffer so that we would have a steady stream of content.  I’m excited to share all of the works I’ve been reading with all of you.
  2. Print issues: We’ve been working on getting the print issues back in print.  Our timeframe is currently quite vague on that one, but it’s still in the works.  We’ve also been collecting works for our next print issue, date to be announced.
  3. Contest:  We’ve decided that Abandoned Towers will be running a contest.  It will be further announced here, on Twitter and on Facebook.  We’re incredibly excited about this and hope you will be too.
  4. Website: Our talented webmaster has been working overtime to get the site to his exacting standards.
  5. Reading submissions: I’ve been reading each of the submissions and I’ve caught up to November 18.  If you haven’t heard back from me (a real reply, not an automated email) and you submitted before then, please email me submissions@abandonedtowers.com so that I can find it.  Sometimes email disappears or I otherwise miss it.
  6. Other coding stuff: I’m not allowed to talk about this, but it’s going to be pretty amazing.

Thank you for your patience!  We’re impatient to start getting content up online but we want to make sure we’ve got everything running smoothly.  It’s hard to believe I’ve only been in charge since October, but there you have it.
