Jim Maher
Jim is the proud father of three bouncing boys, and has been writing since he could handle a crayon. His first story, ‘Professor Jim’, was a hit at kindergarten, and was followed up with ‘Detective Jim and the Dinosaur Bones’ a few years later.
Now, Jim has turned his focus to short stories about anything, and novels that he (naively) hopes will fill even a fraction of the void left behind when Roald Dahl left us.

Abandoned Towers
A writerly friend of mine suggested I look you guys up for short story submissions. So I did. I’m getting involved right now, and would love to be involved in all aspects: slush reading, judging, and especially getting my work out there. I can’t wait to see what it becomes, a magazine for readers, by readers. Readers make the best writers.
My Writing Style
I love writing for kids. I have the most fun writing for them, and find my creative mind flowing always in that direction. I don’t know if I’m forever cursed by my huge love of all things Roald Dahl, or if that’s actually some sort of liberation.
I am actively seeking representation, and if anyone has any questions, or wants to chat about anything story, writing, or anything else, drop me a line at iguidou@hotmail.com.
Good reading and great writing!
