The Artisans
The Artisans
Past, present and future in a looped cross.
An arrow wrought of winter’s touch,
ruby inset ring, flames dancing within,
and a pair of mythril dragon boots
with tiny Pegasus wings attached at the heels.
Bequeathed in the light by light itself
four godly gifts for four kings of men.
Arms raised and accepted gifts into hands.
Around them watched their entourage
who became inspired and would become
great artisans in the kingdom to come.
Blacksmiths who forged the strongest swords and armor
in silver, gold, mythril, dragonscale and adamant.
Tailors that cut and stitched the finest clothes.
Jewelers the shiniest rings and jewels.
Alchemists, brewers of potions, elixers and other mixtures.
Poets and bards, scribes of fables and parables.
Enchanters of magical qualities into any object.
And builders of castles, mansions, towers, halls, and arks.
