Abandoned Towers Video Guidelines

Abandoned Towers accepts, for publication online, video content in accord with the following guidelines.

Original Works

We are happy to accept video submissions of original works, whether they be fiction, nonfiction or poetry. When submitting, follow the normal process of sending us an email but instead use the following format for your subject line: “VIDEO SUBMISSION: last name – Title”, as this helps us direct it appropriately to our Video Editor. Also, rather than attaching the video file, we prefer that you post the file somewhere from which it can be viewed and send us a link to that location. Please ensure that you also include a brief summary of the piece as well as the overall length of the recording, as we can read faster than we can watch.

General Considerations

Video submissions must contain a video component. If you are interested in submitting an audio submission, follow the guidelines for that.

Videos will be hosted through our YouTube Channel, and consequently must meet all of YouTube’s requirements for content, format, length, etc.  It is not required that the video have audio however if they do have sound effects, a score or musical sound track it is allowed so long as you have appropriate rights to make use of those effects, scores or music.

Payment and Rights:

At this time Abandoned Towers does not pay for video content. In the case of an original work we require non-exclusive World Audio rights to the work. In the case of existing Abandoned Towers content, we retain the existing Video rights and do not transfer those rights to the performer.
